The BayCare Clinic Foundation is pleased to announce that its 2011 charitable giving totaled nearly $260,000, an increase of 13% over 2010. "The trend over the past few years has shown a yearly increase in charitable giving by our Foundation", said Joseph Hodgson, MD, President of the BayCare Clinic Foundation Board.  "Despite the slow economy, our Foundation continues to give to the community - to help those in need."

Local groups which received BayCare Clinic Foundation funds include the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay, Golden House, March of Dimes, Big Brothers Big Sisters and many more.

2011 giving also includes the BayCare Clinic Healthcare Scholarship Program. This scholarship program is designed to assist area scholars pursuing advanced education in the healthcare sector, and annually distributes $1,000 scholarships to students in Green Bay and the surrounding communities. Through this effort, it is the hope of the BayCare Clinic physicians that additional qualified healthcare employees will be available to provide needed services to the community. Seventeen scholarships were awarded in 2011 as part of this program.

BayCare Clinic Foundation donations consist of individual physician donations and collective monies distributed by its Board. The BayCare Clinic Foundation is the philanthropic arm of BayCare Clinic, LLP. The mission of the BayCare Clinic Foundation is to promote the health and well-being of Northeast Wisconsin's residents.
