Dongmei Chen, MD, PhD is a comprehensive ophthalmologist with BayCare Clinic Eye Specialists in Green Bay and Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She provides family eye care with special interests in cataract surgery.

Dr. Chen brings an extensive amount of knowledge and training with her when she sees each patient. Getting both her MD and PhD from one of the top ophthalmology schools in China, Dr. Chen also completed both her residency and cornea fellowships in China. She then moved to the United States to do research and became an assistant professor. Dr. Chen completed another residency in ophthalmology at Indiana University before moving to Green Bay and establishing her practice here.

Specializing in cataract surgery, Dr. Chen thrives when helping patients reach their best vision possible through meticulous planning and carefully executed surgery. She values the work she does as she gets to help her patients see better. Hearing how much their vision has improved is the most rewarding part of her work. Staying up to date on the latest techniques and technology is something she prioritizes to ensure each patient is given the best level of care.
