Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat varicose veins and spider veins.

How sclerotherapy works

During the procedure, a solution is injected directly into the affected veins, causing them to collapse and eventually be absorbed by the body.

When will I see results from my sclerotherapy treatment?

Treated veins typically fade within a few weeks, although it can take up to a month or more to see full results. You may need more than one treatment depending on the results you desire. 

How long do results last? 

Veins treated with sclerotherapy usually do not come back, but new ones can appear. 

Is there any downtime with a sclerotherapy treatment?

There is little to no downtime. Compression stockings or bandages are recommended for two weeks to keep pressure on the treated veins.
