BayCare Clinic Community Foundation: Investing in Health, Wellness & Education

feed News and More

The BayCare Clinic Community Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of its latest round of community grants and professional development awards. Through these investments, the Foundation continues its commitment to supporting programs that improve health outcomes, enhance educational opportunities, and strengthen the well-being of individuals and families throughout Northeast Wisconsin.

Health & Wellness Grants

The Foundation has awarded a Health & Wellness Grant to Preble High School for its Preble First Aid Bag Refresh program. Serving more than 2,000 students, Preble High School maintains first aid kits throughout its campus and at school-sponsored activities. Funding from the Foundation will help replace bulky, difficult-to-transport bags with practical first aid backpacks, ensuring staff can more easily respond to injuries and medical situations both on campus and during field trips and extracurricular events.

A second Health & Wellness Grant was awarded to BRAs of the Bay, an initiative led by Plastic Surgery & Skin Specialists by BayCare Clinic. While widely recognized as a creative fundraiser, BRAs of the Bay also serves as a powerful platform for breast cancer education, advocacy, and empowerment. The event not only increases awareness about breast reconstruction options and patients' rights following mastectomy, but also, connects individuals with resources and information to help them make informed decisions about their care and survivorship journey.

Mental Health Grants

A Mental Health Grant has been awarded to New Day Women's Center to support relocation efforts after their former building was lost due to storm damage. New Day Women's Center provides resources and support for women through one-on-one services such as life coaching, financial planning, mentorship, vocational skills coaching, and referrals. The organization also helps meet basic needs through meal services, a food pantry, technology access, transportation assistance, and more, while educational classes, support groups, art activities, and special events foster connection, resilience, and personal growth.

A second Mental Health Grant was awarded to Community for Hope of Greater Oshkosh to support its Suicide Prevention programs. Founded in 2001, the organization promotes mental wellness through QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) training, grief support groups for survivors of suicide loss, and community education initiatives. Through outreach in schools, workplaces, faith communities, and other community settings, Community for Hope helps reduce stigma, raise awareness, and connect individuals to vital mental health resources.

Faculty Professional Development Awards

The BayCare Clinic Foundation remains committed to advancing the future of healthcare by supporting the educators who prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals. Through its Faculty Professional Development Awards program, the Foundation provides funding for healthcare faculty members to pursue continued learning opportunities.
